CEO Steve Huffman emphasized the platform's commitment to maintaining both humanness and anonymity, citing recent incidents like University of Zurich researchers using AI to mimic real users. Legal actions have already been taken against unauthorized experiments.

The partnership WOULD allow Reddit to verify user uniqueness and age without compromising privacy—a critical need as regulators intensify scrutiny of social media identity systems.
